As part of our Earth History Unit, students explored the effects of erosion by studying a stream table we set up in class. Students were able to identify sediments, deltas, flood plains etc. Then they made hypothesis on how they thought the Grand Canyon was formed. |

Student created rock layer basins. The bottom layer is sandstone, middle layer shale and the top layer is limestone. Student created Colorado Plateau projects. Students were given the choice of how they wanted to present their National Park. Paintings, sculptures, posters and powerpoints were some of the methods used.
